General terms for Conference, Group- individual bookings and other events at Backafallsbyn AB

These general terms always apply and is subject to being attached to the order confirmation or will otherwise be agreed upon between the parties that they apply to.

  1. Definitions & Orders etc.
    An Event takes place on premises provided, with or without accommodation and/or refreshments, for example conferences, weddings, birthday parties, dinner arrangements or when ordering meetings or conference rooms etc. It also include individual accommodation bookings and arrangement. Customer means the person - legal or natural who is liable to pay for the event. Supplier means the facility that supplies the event. Order Value means the contract price of the entire order or the total of the number of participants ordered multiplied by the contract price per participant per day plus the price of services ordered separately. Orders may be placed orally or in writing. The supplier shall confirm receipt of the orders in writing.
  2. Advance Payment & Cancellation
    Advance payments are due 30 days before arrival. If the advance payment is not made, the order is not binding for the Supplier. Non-payment is not considered a valid cancellation. Cancellations shall be made in writing no later than 6 weeks before arrival date. In the event of cancellation less than six weeks before arrival date, 75% of the full order value will be invoiced. In the event of cancellation 4 weeks or less before the arrival date, 100% of the full order value will be invoiced. The Customer is liable for all costs arising from the order. If participants are each to pay anything themselves, it must be approved by the supplier. The failure of any participants to show up for any ordered meal will not entail any entitlement to price reduction. Payment shall be made as agreed. In the event of partial cancellation, this must be done 30 days before arrival. If an agreement for payment against invoice was established, full payment must be completed within 10 days of the invoiced date. If the time for payment is exceeded, the Supplier is entitled to charge late payment interest from the due date at the current Swedish reference rate with a surcharge of +10%. Invoices are subject to an invoicing charge.
  3. Alcohol Law of Sweden
    Where serving permits apply, you may not bring or drink alcoholic beverages other than those served by Backafallsbyn AB in accordance with our alcohol license, which includes our public areas, main building and conference rooms. The Customer is responsible for ensuring that its accompanying guests comply with the law and will be fined by SEK 5 000 if violation is discovered. The fine will be added to the customer´s invoice. To participate at guided tours in our distillery or in arranged tastings, participants have to be 18 years of age or order.
  4. Ferry tickets
    In cases where the supplier has reserved tickets for the ferry ride, tickets must be picked up at the ticket counter at Ventrafiken in Landskrona no later than 25 minutes before departure. Booked passengers must appear in the ”booked” line at the departure point at least 15 minutes before departure to keep the guaranteed spot. Pre-reserved ferry tickets is not valid for other departure.
  5. Minimum age and rules at the facility
    Residents without parent´s attendance must be at least 20 years old, identification required on arrival. Between 23:00 and 07:00, please consider silence with regard to other guests. You are responsible for all damage to the property and its inventory if you or someone else in your company has been negligent. Please note that brought pets must be confirmed by the provider at the time of booking. Keep in mind that all guests may not appreciate your pet as much as you, and do not forget to pick up feces.
  6. Special wishes at time of order / Valuable property
    Special wishes concerning e.g. special food, pets, etc., these must be made known at time of reservation. The same applies if the Customer requires special security arrangements. If the customer wishes to bring property of high value and to store it in the Supplier´s storage rooms, baggage rooms or safe, the Supplier must be informed. In the event of theft or similar, compensation claims are only accepted if a written agreement on liability for brought property have been established.
  7. Liability for property / infliction of damage
    The Supplier is not strictly liable for property kept in hotel rooms or on the Supplier´s premises. Should it prove that the Supplier or his employees have acted recklessly or negligently or otherwise bear the blame for property being lost or damaged, the Supplier is liable for the lost or damaged property. The Customer is on his part responsible for damage that he himself or his participants negligently inflict upon the Supplier.
  8. Price changes
    The Supplier reserves the right to price increases when purchasing external services such as ferry and bus services, other transports, bicycles or other external activities. The Supplier will inform the Customer promptly when additional charges apply. The Supplier reserves the right to price increases in cases where commodities and the like affect the final price.
  9. Value-added services and other amenities
    Spirit of Hven Backafallsbyn provides added value such as wireless internet access and other services, completely free of charge for our guests. No compensation is payable if any of our free value-added services would be fully occupied, impaired, closed for maintenance or for any reason can't be utilized in connection with your stay.
  10. Force majeure
    Strikes, lockouts, conflagrations, explosions, wars or warlike conditions, substantial restrictions on supplies and other circumstances outside the Supplier´s control entitles the Supplier to cancel the agreement without any liability in damages.
  11. Miscellaneous
    Although we continuously make efforts to ensure that the information om our website is current and correct, Spirit of Hven Backafallsbyn cannot assume any liability for losses that have arisen directly or indirectly because of the use of this information and/or our website.
  12. Protection of personal data and GDPR compliancy
    Spirit of Hven Backafallsbyn AB collects personal information that is necessary, relevant and not superfluous for the purpose of which they are intended. Personal information is collected when you make a booking or quotation request, sign up for newsletters or otherwise state your interest by visit or other voluntary contact.
